Genau wie Battlefield: Play4Free wird die Ghost Recon-Reihe einen Free-2-Play-Titel erhalten. Ubisoft hat bekannt gegeben, dass aktuell an dem Taktik-Shooter Ghost Recon Online gearbeitet wird. Das verantwortliche Entwicklerstudio für den Titel ist Ubisoft Singapur, welche die Beta-Phase des Free-2-Play-Titels im kommenden Sommer starten möchten. Erste Gameplay-Szenen wurden bereits auf Youtube veröffentlicht und können unterhalb dieses Artikels angeschaut werden. In Ghost Recon Online stehen Spielern drei Klassen zur Auswahl. Dabei können die Waffen und Technologien mit denen die Charaktere ausgestattet sein sollen frei gewählt werden. Durch sogenannte InGame-Points oder echter Währung ist es möglich, eurem Charakter extra Waffen, Ausrüstung und andere Verbesserungen zu verpassen.
